The focus of the Office of Student Support Services is to provide assistance to students, families, and schools to advance the well-being, academic success, and lifelong achievement of students.
Attendance/Truancy Case Management
Case managers provide one-on-one assistance to schools and families to address student absenteeism and proactively resolve truancy.

School Counseling Services
The Student Support Services Department oversees school counseling services provided to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The comprehensive developmental counseling program facilitates academic and career planning and promotes the student’s personal, social and emotional growth. Each school has a counseling department which works with students to meet their needs in these areas and, from time to time, will also provide responses to crises resulting from tragic events.
School Health Administration
Manages school health programs and supports educational staff. Serves as health advisory resource for administrators, staff members, students, parents and community members.
Interfaces with school administrators, the Superintendent, students and parents in handling disciplinary matters that involve appeals, out-of- school suspension, and expulsion.
Student Support Services also provides leadership on character education, substance abuse prevention, bullying prevention, attendance initiatives, threat assessment, crisis response, home instruction, variances and therapeutic day treatment.
